CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
I have had a great week in Room 19 while Mr Yoon is away on holiday. I gave the Hawks 2 projects over our week.
One was a lego stop motion movie. It didn't work as well as it could have, and we kind of ran out of time. Oh well, we'll try again next term!
Our other project was to use the Chromebooks and Google Apps to make a Choose Your Own Adventure Story. Mrs Lee said we could have all of the Chromebooks for the week which was amazing. How cool would it be if we could use them all of the time?!? Anyways, I told the Hawks they had to write a story and it could be on any subject. They could write independently or to collaborate as part of a group. They planned out their stories, typed them up, added pictures and colour and then added the links to make the choosing successful!
I will be adding the stories over the next few days so please check back and read them all :-)

PJ DAY and BUDDY READING
On Wednesday 2 July we had a mufti day and we had to dress up in our pyjamas! Miss Johnson was super excited because she loves pjs, but only a handful of the Hawks wore theirs!
In the afternoon we spent some time with our buddy class and did reading with them. Our buddy class for this was Room 7 - The Mighty Minions. They were excited to read with us, and we did a fabulous job of being leaders and keeping the little ones engaged all afternoon.

Chromebooks
We have been a technology class this week! Miss J is teaching us how to use the Chromebooks and google apps to do a special kind of writing! You will have to wait until the end of the week to see it, but I promise it will be worth the wait!!!
Our visit from a Member of Parliament!
Today
Mr Cam Calder came and talked to our class.
He is a member of parliament and he is with the National Party. He was talking to us about leadership and
here are some things that we took from his talk:
