Good Bye Mr Mac!!
Today, we had our farewell assembly for Mr Mac. We performed on & off the stage to thank all his hard work while he was at Rowandale Primary School. It was so sad to say Good Bye to Mr Mac for the last time. As a gift from all the classes, we made a book. Each class had to make a poster and wrote messages on the back. Our class is the ONLY class that has two pages in the book.Wednesday, 26 February 2014

Tena Koutou Katoa
Welcome to all the Parents and Caregivers of Room 19.
My name is Jack Yoon and I am truly excited and privileged
to be able to assist your child in their learning this year. During our
first few days we have been developing rules and routines for our classroom. We
are learning about what is important in our classroom, so we can all learn. By
discussing our ideas, the children and I have come up with our treaty and
routines together that will enable us to learn in a positive and caring
environment.
Uniform: I
was very pleased to see the students come back to school in their uniforms. Please
make sure that each uniform item is named so your child can take care of their
belongings. Children need to wear their own brimmed hats in Term 1 and 4.
Swimming:
Our swimming days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday every week. Please ensure your child brings their togs
and towel in a named plastic bag on these days.
Topic: For this year, our topic
is ‘Treasure - Taonga’. The focus is to
develop and create a depth of knowledge in our life, community, culture and
families about treasure. This topic will be led and guided by the students and
myself. I am very excited to get into this interesting topic.
Homework: For homework, the children will have a reading book
each night. It would be great if you could work with your child in these areas.
Math basic facts sheet will also be sent home.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, or have any questions or comments, please be in contact. I look forward to working along side you and your child this year.
